DESCRIPTION:The Federation of African Engineering Organisations is organising a Real Time Online Essay Writing Competition! \nCategory A – For All Engineering Students in African Universities – REGISTER\nCategory B – For Females in Senior Secondary Schools in Africa – REGISTER \nTHE PROGRAMME\nThe Competition will involve students from all African countries who are National members of the Federation of African Engineering Organizations (FAEO). Each country will nominate 5 participants for the senior category and 5 participants for the Junior category to contend with other nominees from other countries.\nThe participants will be required to indicate their interest by submitting a 1 minute video stating their Name\, Country\, School \, Grade/year/level and a word on ‘the Value of Water’. The video should be submitted to faeo.wie@gmail.com on or before 5pm GMT on Monday 22nd March\, 2021 through their Country Coordinator ONLY\, to eliminate scam mails and non-delegates. Therefore\, the videos sent directly would be discarded.\nThe kick-off ceremony of the competition will be held virtually via zoom on 23rd March\, 2021 from 10am -12pm GMT where all the received videos will be played. The students will have a Career talk from the President of FAEO\, Ing. SUMMARY:La Journée des jeunes filles dans les TIC
DESCRIPTION:La neuvième édition de la Journée Internationale de la Jeune Fille dans le secteur des TIC (JIJF) se célèbre cette année\, le jeudi\, 25 avril 2019\, sous l’impulsion du Secrétaire Général de l’UIT qui dans sa correspondance du 30 janvier 2019\, a invité tous les membres de l’UIT à organiser la célébration de cette manifestation dans leurs pays respectifs\, dans le but de promouvoir l’autonomisation des femmes et inciter les jeunes filles et femmes à faire carrière dans le domaine des TIC.\nDans le cadre de la préparation de cette manifestation\, un comité de préparation a été mis sur pied regroupant outre le personnel du MINPOSTEL\, le MINREX\, le MINPROFF\, le MINJEC\, le MINESEC\, le MINSANTE\, la DGSN\, la CROIX-ROUGE CAMEROUNAISE\, les structures du secteur et la société civile. A cet effet\, cinq (05) réunions se sont déjà tenues au MINPOSTEL\, afin de mener des réflexions pour procéder à la maturation des activités préalablement identifiées. Il s’agit :\n•	 des descentes dans certains établissements secondaires francophone\, anglophone et  arabophone\, dans les communes d’arrondissement de la ville de Yaoundé et enfin dans les Centres de Promotion de la Femme et de la Famille\, en vue de sensibiliser les jeunes filles et les jeunes femmes tout en les incitant à s’intéresser aux technologies de pointes\, à l’informatique\, aux nouveaux moyens de communication et à l’ingénierie;\n•	de l’organisation d’un challenge entre les filles des établissements secondaires qui ont des filières TIC\, des écoles professionnelles et des associations qui exercent dans le domaine des TIC qui consistera\, à retenir les six finalistes qui seront récompensées lors de la cérémonie officielle;\n•	de l’organisation d’une table ronde qui réunira les femmes modèles du secteur en vue de partager leurs expériences en TIC tout en démontrant aux jeunes filles que les TIC sont des outils d’autonomisation et qu’une carrière dans ce secteur\, permet de relever les défis passionnants et inédits des progrès technologiques ;\n•	de l’organisation d’une marche sportive et d’un match de gala qui concernera les jeunes filles et les femmes du secteur ;\n•	de la cérémonie de la remise des dons aux jeunes filles aveugles de l’Association Nationale des Aveugles Utilisateurs du Matériel Informatique au Cameroun (ANAUMIC) ;\n•	de la stratégie de communication à envisager en termes de couverture médiatique\, d’outils de communication et d’articles promotionnels ;\n•	 de la cérémonie officielle au cours de laquelle\, le message du Secrétaire Général de l’UIT sera lu et un discours sera prononcé par le Ministre à l’occasion de cette manifestation. Aussi\, la remise des parchemins et cadeaux aux six finalistes issues du concours challenge sera faite  ce jour ainsi que la visite de leur stand.  \n\nTweet
